What's new in release 98 V2.0 ?
The sounds are completely re-designed, starting from Scpop2000 sound set. Due to the use of more than 16 parts the version 2 is no more compatible with SC-55 modules.
The release 98 has the capability to customize the sounds available in the stops panel, allowing to load for each stop button a different sound, in sysex format, that can be an organ sound or a completely different instrument. The sysex need to comply to some requirements, so that when loaded into the stops table it will work in a way compatible with all the other SCPOP sounds. Give a read to the SCPOP Sounds Creation Page, where the sound specifications are given, and also guidelines for preparing them, focused on pipe organ sounds, are available.
Added a choice of reverbs simulating different kinds of organ installation. A customizable reverb option is available.
Corrected the stops frequency one octave higher. All sounds revised and added new ones for a total number of 90.
Patches for keyboards using note off and a choice of midi-in routines have been included, to optimize note hanging problem.
2 sounds files are available. The standard sound set uses the same stops of SCPOP 2000, better sounding but compatible only with SC-88 and above Sound Canvas models. The other sound set, available only to registered users, uses the old release stops, less elaborated but compatible with all Sound Canvas models, including SC-55.
