The
Italian
Confederation
for Organ
is the
promoter of the
annual
World
Organ
Day;
the initiative is
essentially
a
"tam
tam"
for
media
to join in spirit
all
the
musical events
to be held
in March, 21; this date is the
birthday
of
Johann
Sebastian
Bach.
This year,
the
Organ Day symbol is our Dom Bedos Organ.

any

magic moment
"in
the
ORGAN
WORLD
DAY
21.3.2011
in order to
give
prestige
to the immense
wealth
and
organ
around
the
world.
This year
the event
coincides
in time
with
the celebration
of the unification of
Italy, in 1861.

Michel Bouvard visits the Dom Bedos
Michel Bouvard, organ professor on National Music High School in Paris,
was in Rieti to play and visit the Dom Bedos organ, on 14
January, 2011, with his wife Msr,Yasuto;
Michel Formentelli was here, too. Bouvard was enthusiast about the great
instrument, writing on our organist book: "What a

what emotion,
that,
that
body!

the
Basilica
of
San
Domenico
has
now
experienced
the
annual
meeting
oorganized
by the tourist
association of
Greccio (the location ot the first Christmas representation by
San Francesco,). The
tourists
from
all over
Italy
stay in
the
church
(more than
300
people) who attended
the
presentation
by
the
Organ Conservateur Filippo Tigli; he performed
some improvisations on the North
Germanic,
French
and
Italian styles,
with
an explanation
of the organ mechanisms and
about the
sound and organ architecture.
Given the
occasion
of the
150th
anniversary
of the unification of
Italy,
after
the conflict
between
the
Royal March
"The
Royal"
by
C.
PIROY,
which changes
the theme
of the
Marseillaise,
the
public
has
requested
the
Italy
national hyms. The music time
was marked
by the people
applause.
Then.
people
visits
in
the choir
of
the instrument
by
which
many
fans
have expressed their
appreciation
and amazement
for
the reconstruction of
this historic
monument.
